Talking about attraction and relationships may seem interesting when we use other people as an example. Hearing about their faithfulness, romance, downfalls, mistakes and deceit intrigues us. We ponder over what we just heard and dream about the beauty of relationships.

Flowers, chocolates, hugs and kisses. We also know that there are two sides to every story. Misunderstandings, arguments, affairs, abuse. Just like a tragedy, we could only hope that they will not destruct our love life. These would only result in shattering our confidence.

Everyone is not perfect, we keep reminding ourselves. Nonetheless, haven't we all constructed a certain list of aptitudes and traits we would like to see in someone? That is when the dating game starts. We would go out with these potential soul mates and put on our best outfit and charm. Taking time to look our best is important because the first impression counts.

While dating, we learn so much about each other. Some positive stuff and some bad. We tell ourselves that we can give and take because we would like to see the relationship prosper. Sometimes, most of us forget that everyone is only human at the end of the day. There might be a mutual decision that two people are in a relationship. Be it on paper or word of mouth.

Nevertheless, people change, feelings change. Just like how his feelings faded away.

Not everything stays the same for both parties. I probably got hurt because I was working on a dream come true when im oblivious of the fact that it was all an unrealistic expectation. Yes, I might have worked my ass out to keep the fire burning. But, what sort of a deal would it make when the other party doesn't even care anymore? There is nothing in it for me, is there? To end it all, we are only human beings. Still, we shouldn't use that as a reason for not being commited because every human has been gifted with a brain and heart.

If you disagree, you might be one of the most intelligent animals in the world. How about calling yourself a reading Chimpanzee?
